Employee’s Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace
In the US, the number of adults reporting symptoms of anxiety or depression has jumped by 30% during the Coronavirus pandemic. More than 4 in 10 American adults now self-report symptoms of mental health and wellbeing distress and this should come as little surprise that this greatly affects all aspects of life, including job performance.
As the pandemic wears on, we advise that businesses again review their company strategies and HR policies to ensure that employees feel and are supported. This in turn most certainly can impact their overall health outcomes as well as effectiveness in the workplace.
Here are some resources for you to share with your HR team to aid in reviewing your current policies and practices:
- Expert Panel Discussion – 50 min. seminar that covers practical tips, your duty as an
employer, setting boundaries as well as priorities, involving the board, and more.
- Quick FAQs on Wellbeing
- HR Assessment Service Available – through a strategic partnership with fellow Moore
Global partner firm, Armanino LLP, we are happy to make available their HR Outsourcing
Solutions to our clients. They offer a full range of support including an initial health check to review your current HR procedures and assess what needs to be improved given the current climate.
If you have any additional questions regarding managing your company’s policies or procedures to support your employee’s mental health, please don’t hesitate to contact your KSB partner or representative. We’d be happy to discuss options and help direct you toward solutions.
